Operation Santa Grants – Temporarily Paused

We’re very sorry to announce that Operation Santa will be pausing all grant activity for 2025, and no new applications will be accepted until June 2026 at the earliest.

This would have been our third year running the revived Operation Santa Auction, but sadly our charity director, Ian Fountain, is currently facing serious health challenges. After multiple heart attacks in 2019, major surgery in 2023, and a recent diagnosis of Ischaemia, Ian has made the difficult decision to step back this year to prioritise his health and recovery.

While Ian continues to work limited hours, he feels it would not be fair to ask the team at Cabs Smart to take on the full pressure of organising the auction in his absence. We support his decision wholeheartedly and wish him strength and healing in the months ahead.

We hope to be back in 2026 with renewed energy and an even bigger commitment to supporting local charities across Suffolk. In the meantime, we encourage you to follow us on social media or subscribe to Ipswich Local for updates.
